Short on time? An adult beginner on a budget: Callaway Strata ($499.99). A beginner who wants a full bag: Strata Ultimate 16-Piece ($699.99). Women who want a premium lightweight set: REVA, Kalea Gold or XXIO. Kids: pick a Callaway XJ/XT or Team TaylorMade size by height.
Steel or graphite? Graphite is lighter and easier to swing for slower swingers, seniors, women and juniors. Steel is a little heavier and gives more control for stronger swingers. XR, RBZ Men's and Cobra AIR-X let you choose either.
How to choose a complete golf set

3. Men's, women's or junior

4. Height and fit
Clubs that are too long or too short hurt contact. Tall men should look at the Callaway XR Long Length set. Women can choose REVA Short or REVA Long. 5. What's included in a set
A typical set includes a driver, a fairway wood, hybrid(s), irons, a wedge or two, a putter, a bag and headcovers. The piece count includes the bag and headcovers, so compare the actual club list, not just the number. For example, the Men's Strata 12-Piece includes a 460cc driver, 3-wood, 5-hybrid, 6–9 irons, pitching wedge, putter and a stand bag.

What comes in a complete golf set?
Most complete sets include a driver, a fairway wood, one or more hybrids, a run of irons, at least one wedge, a putter, a bag and headcovers. The 'piece count' includes things like the bag and headcovers, not just the clubs, so a 12-piece set does not have 12 clubs. Check the 'What's included' list on each product page.
Are there women's complete golf sets?

What size junior golf set does my child need?
Pick by height, not age. Callaway XJ Level 1 fits about 42"–46", Level 2 fits 47"–53", Level 3 fits 54"–57", and the XT Junior 11-Piece fits 58"–69". Team TaylorMade Size 1, 2 and 3 cover 42"–47", 48"–53" and 54"–59".
Do complete sets come in left-handed or different lengths?
Many do. Left-handed versions are available for Strata, Strata Plus, Men's Strata Ultimate, XR, RBZ Men's, REVA 11-Piece, Kalea Gold and several junior sets. For length, there's Callaway XR Long Length for tall men and REVA Short and REVA Long for women.
Is a complete set better than buying clubs individually?
